Nordic API Gateway, a Copenhagen, Denmark-based fintech startup delivering banks’ account to account (A2A) payments, raised €4.6m in funding.
Backers included existing investors Danske Bank and DNB.
The company intends to use the funds its business reach and further develop its current product offering, with plans to raise a larger round to launch its European growth.
Launched in 2016 by founder and CEO Rune Mai, Nordic API Gateway provides a platform that enables access to financial data and account-to-account payments to allow users to offer better solutions to customers.
The open banking system has an extensive coverage of banks – personal and business accounts – in the Nordics and is already live in the UK, the Netherlands, Poland and the Baltics.
