Teamworks, a Durham, NC-based athlete engagement platform for collegiate and professional organizations, raised $25m in Series C funding.
The round was led by Delta-v Capital, with participation from new investors Afia Capital and Stadia Ventures and returning investors General Catalyst, Seaport Capital, DUMAC, Steve Pagliuca and Reggie Love.
The company intends to use the funds for product development and business and team expansion.
Led by Zach Maurides, CEO and Founder, Teamworks provides an athlete engagement platform, allowing more than 3,000 clients around the world to connect and collaborate by simplifying their internal processes. Organizations that use it to create a culture of communication and accountability include more than 2,000 NCAA Division I programs including every Autonomous Conference institution; professional teams in the NFL, MLB, NBA, NHL, MLS and EPL; collegiate and professional conferences; and national governing bodies.
