Trade Hounds, a Boston, MA-based professional community built exclusively for the construction industry, closed a $3.2m seed funding round.

The round was led by seed-stage venture capital firms Corigin Ventures and Brick and Mortar Ventures, with participation from Suffolk Construction, and CCS Construction Staffing.

The company plans to use the funds from to continue to expand the user base, roll out the Jobs platform and expand the team.

Led by David Broomhead, CEO, and Peter Maglathlin, CFO, Trade Hounds Trade Hounds provides a professional app for the construction industry. The app enables skilled tradespeople, companies and staffing agencies to find, connect and engage with one another to network, locate job opportunities and showcase their work through photo and video. . In conjunction with the funding, The platform now has more than 150,000 registered users.
