Klima, a Berlin, Germany-based app that calculates carbon footprints, raised $5.8m in seed funding.
Backers included e.ventures, HV Holtzbrinck Ventures, 468 Capital, Christian Reber, Founder of Pitch; Jens Begemenn, Founder of Wooga; and Niklas Jansen, Co-Founder of Blinkist.
The company intends to use the funds to continue to expand operations and its business reach.
Co-founded by Markus Gilles, Jonas Branau and Andreas Pursian-Ehrlich, Klima empowers everyone to understand their carbon footprint and take immediate, effective climate action – in under 5 minutes.
The Klima Carbon Calculator measures a personal carbon footprint so users can offset their emissions through a personalized, affordable monthly subscription that funds the proven effective and holistic climate projects of choice.
In addition to seeing real-time impact data, Klima makes it easy to share climate neutrality journey with others to inspire them to join the movement.
