Elaphe Propulsion Technologies Ltd., a Ljubjana, Slovenia-based world leader in electric in-wheel-drive technology for electric vehicles, raised €4.2m in Euro A+ funding.
EIT InnoEnergy made the investment.
The company intends to use the funds to accelerate further growth.
Led by Gorazd Lampic, CEO, Elaphe is advancing a in-wheel powertrain platform which includes motors, power electronics and intelligent multiple-motor propulsion control. The company’s patented and scalable in-wheel-powertrain technology enables innovative manufacturers to build new products. The technology offers automakers the flexibility to integrate motors with their preferred standard parts (brakes, rims, bearings, suspensions, etc.). The patented electromagnetic core design enables specific torque up to 100 Nm/kg, 200 kW of power per wheel, and superior packaging benefits.
