BigID Raises $70M in Series D Funding; Valued to $1 Billion

BigID, a NYC-based leader in data discovery and intelligence for privacy, protection and perspective, raised $70Mm in series D financing, bringing the valuation to over $1 Billion.

The round, comprised both of primary and secondary shares, was led by Salesforce Ventures and Tiger Global and joined by Glynn Capital, with participation from existing investors Bessemer Venture Partners, Scale Venture Partners, and Boldstart Ventures.

The company intends to use the funds to accelerate its investment in data intelligence for privacy, protection and perspective, further expand sales and marketing, and deliver new applications for actioning data in data privacy, security and governance.

Led by Dimitri Sirota, CEO and co-founder, BigID provides a data intelligence platform that enables organizations to know their enterprise data and take action for privacy, protection, and perspective. Customers deploy BigID to proactively discover, manage, protect, and get value from their regulated, sensitive, and personal data across their data landscape.
