Deed, a San Francisco, CA-based social impact platform, raised $2m in seed funding.
The round was led by Paua Ventures with participation from angels Google Docs inventor Farzad “Fuzzy” Khosrowshahi.
The company intends to use the funds to continue building its social impact tools.
Led by Deevee Kashi, CEO, Steve Liu and Aske Ertmann, Deed provides brands with a platform that features customer giving campaigns, curated volunteering engagements, and analytics to quantify community impact. The mobile-first and design-centric platform has attracted hundreds of thousands of users, operates in 170 countries, and includes a network of over two million nonprofits worldwide.
