Airspace, a Carlsbad, Calif.-based technology platform focused on time-critical logistics, closed aĀ $38mĀ Series C funding round.
The round was led byĀ Telstra Ventures, and joined by co-lead HarbourVest Partners. Other participants include return backersĀ ScaleĀ Ventures, Defy Partners, Qualcomm Ventures and Prologis Ventures. In conjunction with the funding, Mark Sherman, managing partner of Telstra Ventures, joined the Board of Directors.
The company, which has secured a total of overĀ $70mĀ through its three funding rounds to date, intends to use the funds to grow its global network of drivers and expand its suite of service offerings.
Founded in 2016 and led by Nick Bulcao, CEO, Airspace is a global delivery network for time-critical logistics delivering real-time, data-driven notifications and tracking over 16,000 touch points within a shipment, increasing the velocity and transparency of the supply chain.
Over 200 customers, including LabCorp, Alaska Airlines, Quest Diagnostics and American Red Cross, already use the solution to deliver their time-critical shipments throughoutĀ North AmericaĀ andĀ Europe.
The company recentlyĀ opened its new office inĀ Amsterdam, enabling further organic expansion in the European market.
