Quantile Technologies, a London, UK-based provider of portfolio optimisation services for the global financial services market, received a $51m (£38m) minority investment from Spectrum Equity.
The amount of the deal was not disclosed. In conjunction with Spectrum’s investment, Mike Farrell from Spectrum Equity will join Quantile’s Board of Directors.
The company intends to use the proceeds from the investment to accelerate growth as it develops new services and expands into new markets.
Formed in 2015 and led by Andrew Williams, CEO, by Stephen O’Connor, co-founder and Chairman, Quantile has developed a platform that leverages an optimisation engine to provide advanced compression and risk rebalancing services to banks, hedge funds and other financial institutions engaging in OTC derivative transactions. Through the company’s services, clients can reduce counterparty risk and gross notional, release capital and improve returns.
Clients include the G15 top tier global banks, regional banks and other large institutional market participants. The company also has offices in New York.
