Cazoo, a UK-based online car retailer, acquired Smart Fleet Solutions, a UK-based independent vehicle reconditioning and storage specialist, for an undisclosed amount.
The combination of Cazoo’s consumer platform and brand with Smart Fleet Solution’s infrastructure and expertise will provide both businesses the ability to further scale their national reconditioning and storage capabilities in line with their growth plans.
Led by Theo Kortland, Managing Director, SFS has a team of over 500 staff operating from 4 vehicle refurbishment facilities across 110 acres in Nottinghamshire, Staffordshire, Wiltshire and Scotland, processing over 100,000 vehicles annually with storage for more than 20,000 vehicles.
This deal follows the recent acquisition by Cazoo of Drover, a car subscription platform which will enable the company to offer its customers the option of purchasing, financing or subscribing to the cars on its website.
