NIL Technology (NILT), a Copenhagen, Denmark – based specialist in advanced optical solutions, raised €26m (USD $31m) in funding.
The round was co-led by Jolt Capital, NGP Capital and Vækstfonden, with EIC Fund as a new investor.
The company intends to use the funds to accelerate its mass production capabilities and expand its product development efforts, to strengthen its development of the metalens technology to simplify, reduce size and improve quality across all optical component use cases.
Led by Theodor Nielsen, founder, and CEO, Nil Technology is an optical solutions company designing, developing, and manufacturing optical elements and components using high-precision nanoscale features for 3D sensing, consumer electronics, machine vision, autonomous vehicles and VR/AR displays.
Products include diffusers, fan-outs, collimators, focusing lenses and tech for making planar waveguides; all made by diffractive optical elements and metalenses.
