Pandion, a Seattle, WA-based parcel network for e-commerce, closed a $4.9m seed funding round.
The round was led by Playground Global and Schematic Ventures, with participation from AME Cloud Ventures and Innovation Endeavors.
The company will use the funds to grow the team and expand ongoing customer pilots.
Founded in 2020 by CEO Scott Ruffin, Pandion has developed a technology platform for e-commerce players to manage capacity problems during peak periods. The logistics platform helps all businesses provide one and two-day shipping, and makes on-time delivery possible for more retailers, regardless of size and scale. Pandion’s delivery management software uses machine learning to avoid shipping delays and optimize delivery networks.
The company’s leadership consists of software development, operations and business development executives from companies of Amazon, Walmart, FedEx, Macy’s, HP, Accenture, and Deloitte.
