Classcraft, a Sherbrooke, QC, Canada-based learning technology company, closed a $3.6M USD funding round ($4.5M CAD).
The round, led by Brightspark Ventures, also includes Whitecap Venture Partners, Amplify Capital, and two new investors: Theodorus Investment Funds and Unreasonable Collective.
The company intends to use the funds to accelerate product development and its sales and marketing efforts and grow its team.
Founded in 2013 by brothers Shawn and Devin Young and their father Lauren Young, Classcraft allows educators to motivate learners to reach their potential through playful learning experiences that promote growth and human connection. The company is serving more than 8 million students and educators worldwide and a Quebec-based certified B Corporation. Classcraft is used in more than 160 countries and is available in 11 languages.
