HelloSelf, a London, UK-based AI-powered digital therapy service, raised £5.5M in Series A funding.
The round was led by OMERS Ventures, with participation from Manta Ray Ventures, Oxford Capital Partners, and 2EnablePartners. In conjunction with the funding, Harry Briggs, OMERS Ventures Managing Partner will join the board.
The company intends to use the funds to grow its @Work service, increasing its clinical provision for employers of all sizes across the UK.
Founded in 2018 by Charlie Wells (former COO of online donation platform JustGiving), HelloSelf is an online therapy and psychological coaching service, combining app-based automated reminders and encouragement with AI-enhanced video sessions with clinical psychologists.
The HelloSelf @Work service will help organisations of all sizes in the UK to provide tailored ‘needs-based’ mental health support services to employees, through in-person and digital coaching, clinical treatment, and wellness plans.
The company currently has a team of over 150 clinical psychologists, engineers and developers, and provides coaching and treatment to over 1,500 members. The team applies clinically informed skills and knowledge to provide early intervention, prevention, skills training and treatment to its users. HelloSelf uses data, outcomes and feedback throughout the process to personalise treatment plans and the service it provides. As an independent clinic and a tech company, HelloSelf also has the ability to integrate and work smoothly with other complementary providers, such as online GP services and wellbeing apps, while upholding the strictest security standards.
