ID.me Secures $100M in Series C at $1.5 Billion Valuation

ID.me, a McLean, Va.-based secure digital identity network, raised $100m in Series C funding.

The round, which valued the company at $1.5 billion, was led by Viking Global Investors with participation from Counterpoint Global (Morgan Stanley), PSP Growth, Lead Edge Capital, CapitalG, WndrCo, Willoughby Capital, BoxGroup, and Moonshots Capital, as well as Marcelo Claure, Alexa Von Tobel, and Dan Rosensweig.

The company plans to use the new funds to build out its secure digital identity network by hiring talent and expanding its business reach.

Led by Blake Hall, Founder and CEO, ID.me provides a secure digital identity network for identity proofing, authentication and group affiliation verification for organizations across sectors, with has more than 39 million members and over 70,000 new subscribers joining daily, as well as partnerships with 22 states, multiple federal agencies, and over 400 name brand retailers.
