Lookout, Inc., a San Francisco, CA-based cybersecurity company, acquired CipherCloud, a cloud-native security company that operates in the emerging Secure Access Service Edge (SASE) market.
The amount of the deal was not disclosed.
The acquisition broadens the Lookout product portfolio as well as its community of customers and partners including carrier, cloud, channel, distributor and managed security service providers (MSSP).
As a part of the deal, CipherCloud will operate under Lookout brand and leadership.
Led by Founder and CEO Pravin Kothari, who will join Lookout as EVP, Product and Strategy, SASE, CipherCloud provides solutions that span several developing SASE categories, including Cloud Access Security Broker (CASB), Zero-Trust Network Access (ZTNA), Secure Web Gateway (SWG) and Data Loss Prevention (DLP).
Led by Jim Dolce, CEO, Lookout is a cybersecurity company enabling consumers and employees to protect their data, and to securely stay connected without violating their privacy and trust. Lookout is used by millions of consumers, the largest enterprises and government agencies, and partners such as AT&T, Verizon, Vodafone, Microsoft, Google, and Apple.
