Swell, a Cottonwood Heights, Utah-based customer engagement platform for local businesses, raised $8m in Series A funding.
The round was led by SkyLab Ventures with participation from Teamworthy and current investors, including Cultivation Capital. Benson Metcalf, who currently serves as CEO of SkyLab Ventures, will advise Swell and represent SkyLab on the Swell board of directors.
The company intends to use the funds to expand its leadership team, enter new verticals, and add some next-level features to the platform.
Led by Drew Sparks, CEO and co-founder, and CRO and co-founder Zeke Kuch, Swell provides a platform that allows local businesses to engage with customers, gather online reviews, and even schedule appointments online.
