Umbrage, a Houston, TX-based crafts-based digital studio, closed a $2m seed round of funding.
The round was led by Rice Investment Group.
The company intends to use the funds to continue to expand its business reach.
Founded in 2019 by CEO Will Womble, Umbrage creates custom software solutions for oil and gas, healthcare, supply chain and other industries that are in the process of a digital transformation. The studio employs a 4-to-1 ratio of developers to designers to deliver a customized digital experience to global enterprises such as Cold Bore Technologies, Sumitomo Corporation and cpap.com.
