Veruna, an Hopkinton, MA-based developer of an insurance industry’s agency management system (AMS) built on the Salesforce platform, raised $6m in new round of equity funding.
The round was led by Keystone Insurer’s Group and EMC Insurance. As part of the long-range planning behind the round, Phil Lucca, chief field officer of EMC, will be joining the Veruna board of directors.
The company intends to use the funds for the ongoing product improvement efforts which will focus on additional new business workflows and capabilities for agents and brokers and around quoting, binding, and submissions, and accounting.
Founded in 2015 and led by bJennifer Carroll, CEO, Veruna enables insurance agencies and MGAs to insurance and retain valued customers through an agency management system built on Force.com. Veruna allows agencies and MGAs to build custom configurations to capture their unique value propositions and integrate with numerous solutions, create automated tasks and reminders for managing customer relationships, remarkets, lost business, or expanding coverages to meet insureds’ needs.
