DraftKings, Inc., (Nasdaq: DKNG), a Boston, MA-based digital sports betting entertainment and gaming company, acquired Blue Ribbon Software Ltd., a Tel Aviv-based global jackpot and gamification company.
The amount of the deal was not disclosed.
Founded in 2017 by CEO Amir Askarov and CMO Dan Fischer, Blue Ribbon provides platform-agnostic, real-time gamification tools that power customizable jackpot promotions to be applied to any vertical, game or content.
Askarov and Fischer, who are veterans of the iGaming industry with decades of experience working within regulated markets, together with Idan Fridman as CTO, led BlueRibbon’s development of jackpot technology.
With the platform, users can:
- add jackpots to any gaming content building unique incentives around themed games, newly added games, holiday-focused content and more, tailor jackpots to player behaviors with in-depth segmentation, expose players to new types of gaming content with cross-selling jackpots and offer Free Spins, Boosts, and Discounts,
- boost live casino games, creating jackpots for all players or specific segments like VIP players, blackjack players, new players, and more and offer incentives such as Free Jackpot Entries, Boosts, and Discounts, and
- create jackpots for sports bettors, offering incentives such as Free Spins, Boosts, and Discounts
With the deal, DraftKings will now be able to enhance the customer experience by integrating BlueRibbon’s jackpot functionality, including personalized promotions and rewards tailored to the individual customer or jackpots that pay out across DraftKings’ various product offerings.
DraftKings intends to integrate BlueRibbon’s leadership and current employee base, located in Tel Aviv, into its global workforce. In addition, DraftKings intends to increase its hiring in its Tel Aviv office.

DraftKings recently announced the acquisition of VSiN, a multi-platform broadcasting and content company delivering sports betting news, analysis, and data to U.S. sports bettors.
