Nota, Inc., the Kyoto, Japan-based maker of Helpfeel, Gyazo, and Scrapbox, raised $5M in Series B funding.
The round was led by One Capital with participation from round include Salesforce Ventures, Hakuhodo DY Ventures, and Persol Process & Technology.
Founded in 2007 and led by CEO Isshu Rakusai, Nota is the developer and provider of self-service support application Helpfeel, an instant FAQ B2B SaaS that enables high rates of self-service by customers and reduces support costs. Helpfeel is only available in Japanese at this time. Helpfeel customers include Yahoo Japan Corporation, The Iyo Bank, 17LIVE, AHB, Net Protections Holdings, DeNA, Whiteplus, Mirrativ, Minna no Market, HENNGE, Recruit Holdings, bellFace, Money Design, Newton, Persol TempStaff, and Siroca, among others.
The English language version is coming soon.
The company intends to use the funds to expand sales and marketing and to boost growth of Helpfeel and other products, Scrapbox, a tool that allows teams to organize a variety of information by networking wiki-like pages with instant links and and Gyazo, a tool that allows people to take a screenshot by clicking and dragging over an area on screen.
