Carry1st, a Brooklyn, NY- and Century City, Cape Town, South Africa-based mobile games publishing platform that enables global gaming studios to expand across the African market, raised $6M in Series A funding.
The round, which has brought total funding raised to date to $9.5M since inception in 2018, was led by Konvoy Ventures, with participation from Riot Games, Raine Ventures, AET Fund / Akatsuki and TTV Capital.
The company will use the funding to secure new partnerships with global gaming studios, launch and scale its existing portfolio of games, and expand its product, engineering, and growth teams.
Led by Cordel Robbin-Coker, Co-Founder and CEO, Carry1st provides a full stack publishing solution, handling distribution, localization, user acquisition, marketing, customer experience, and monetization for its partners to launch across the African continent.
The company’s Pay1st is an embedded fintech solution which consolidates the most well-adopted payment methods in six African countries, allowing customers to pay in their preferred way.
