Cisco (Nasdaq: CSCO) is to acquire Kenna Security, a Santa Clara, CA-based provider of a risk-based vulnerability management platform.

The amount of the deal was not disclosed.

With this acquisition, Cisco will allow security and IT teams to collaborate to reduce the attack surface and the time it takes to detect and respond. The combination of Cisco SecureX platform’s threat intelligence with Kenna Security’s vulnerability management capabilities will allow customers to find threats faster, improve collaboration between security and IT teams and reduce the attack surface.

The acquisition is expected to close in Cisco’s fourth quarter of fiscal 2021.
