GridX, Inc., a Milpitas, Calif.-based provider of cloud-based business operations support solutions to utilities and energy suppliers, closed a US$12m Series B funding.
The round was led by Energy Impact Partners.
The company intends to use the funds to accelerate its product roadmap and market adoption.
Led by Jian Zhang, Founder and CEO, GridX provides a Business Operations Support (BOS) Cloud application suite for utilities and energy suppliers to develop new products and business models to achieve their clean energy goals; operationalize new offerings in their billing and settlement processes; engage with their customers for broader program adoption; and serve as their customers’ energy advisors throughout the process.
GridX’s BOS Cloud is used by utilities, Retail Energy Suppliers and Community Choice Aggregators, including Pacific Gas and Electric Company, Southern California Edison, PSEG Long Island, Consumers Energy and Central Coast Community Energy, to serve more than 17 million homes and businesses.
