Maxpro, a Detroit, MI-based at-home fitness startup, received an investment from Shaquille O’Neal.
The amount of the deal was not disclosed.
The company intends to use the funds to expand its vision with new digital fitness experiences and next-gen hardware.
Founded in 2019 and Nezar Akeel, CEO, Maxpro provides an at-home and connected fitness solution that combines portability (can be used virtually anywhere), versatility (all types of workouts), connectivity (a premium digital experience that tracks reps, weight, offers instructor-led classes and more) and power (300 pounds of resistance).
Additionally, the system features a digital experience including live fitness classes led by certified instructors, accessible anywhere on the companion app on iOS and Android.
