The Uplifters’ Prima, PBC, a Los Angeles, CA-based company which specializes in botanicals innovations, closes a $9.2M funding round.
The round was led by Greycroft, H Ventures, Defy, and Lerer Hippeau, with participation from Adam Zeplain (mark vc), Global Founders Capital, Emerald Health, One Gun, and Purple Arch Ventures.
The company will use the funds for upcoming retail expansion, remedy-focused clinical research, portfolio refinement and education initiatives along its path to profitability.
A privately held Public Benefit Corporation (PBC) based in Santa Monica California, Prima is a science-led, holistic wellness brand which leverages functionally innovative botanicals. The company has national retail partnerships with Sephora, Nordstrom and expects to offer its products across over 800 new retail stores in 2021.
