SiMa.ai, a San Jose, CA-based machine learning company advancing high-performance compute for computer vision applications, raised $80m in Series B financing.
The round, which brought the total amount raised to date to $120m, was led by Fidelity Management & Research Company with participation from Adage Capital Management and existing investors Amplify Partners, Dell Technologies Capital, Wing Venture Capital, Alter Venture Partners, and +ND Capital.
The company intends to use the funds to:
- productize its first generation machine learning SoC (MLSoC™) platform, as well as jumpstart the second generation product architecture and development,
- to execute go-to-market strategy, drive customer success, and expand the team and operations globally.
Led by Krishna Rangasayee, founder and CEO, SiMa.ai is a machine learning company initially focused on computer vision applications. Its software-first approach simplifies ML integration and supports a broad set of capabilities through a purpose-built MLSoC platform.
The company is partnering with customers in the areas of robotics, smart cities, autonomous vehicles, medical imaging, and the government sector.
