Upstream Security Raises $36M in Funding

Upstream Security, a Herzliya, Israel-based provider of a cloud-based mobility cybersecurity and data analytics platform, raised $36M in funding.

Mitsui Sumitomo Insurance (MSI), a subsidiary of MS&AD Insurance Group Holdings, Inc. and I.D.I. Insurance Company.

The company intends to use the funds to continue to expand operations and its business reach.

Led by Yoav Levy, Co-Founder and CEO, Upstream Security provides a cloud-based mobility cybersecurity and data analytics platform which allows insurance companies to use connected vehicle data to gain insights for various insurance-related areas including improved risk management and enhanced customer experience.

The C4™ platform combines machine learning, data normalization, and digital twin profiling technologies to detect anomalies in real-time using existing automotive data feeds. Coupled with AutoThreat® Intelligence, an automotive cybersecurity threat intelligence feed, Upstream provides cybersecurity and data-driven insights, readily available and integrated into the customer’s environment and broader vehicle security operations center (VSOC).
