Brella, a Helsinki, Finland-based provider of a connected events platform, raised $10m in Series A funding.
The round was led by Connected Capital.
The company intends to use the funds to:
- invest in R&D for essential features,
- scale its architecture to further improve reliability and platform uptime (currently 99.95%), and
- lower the bar for organizers who want to host hybrid events through its customer success offerings and content.
Founded in 2016 and led by CEO Markus Kauppinen, Brella provides an event platform for virtual, physical and hybrid events. It is used by conferences and exhibitions to power their events with relevant content, quality networking and multiple revenue generating opportunities. Its analytics reporting, which covers trending topics, buyer intents, content consumption, networking and engagement empowers event organizers to deliver measurable exposure and transparent return on investment (ROI) to exhibitors, sponsors, and partners.
The company, which has facilitated connections between millions of participants at both physical and virtual events, has approx. 50 employees in offices in NYC, Helsinki and Jyvaskyla. Customer include Informa, IQPC, Marcus Evans, and thousands more.
