Honey Insurance, a Surry Hills, New South Wales, Australia-based insurtech startup focused on home insurance, raised A$15.5m in seed funding.
Backers reportedly included RACQ, PEXA, Metricon, ABN Group, Mirvac, AGL, SFG and Apex Capital, as well as Larry Diamond, Anthony Eisen, Jamie McPhee, Graham Mirabito, Tim Fung, and Peter Tonagh.
The company intends to use the funds to expand operations and its development efforts.
Led by Richard Joffe, CEO, Honey Insurance provides:
- homeowners with a policy to protect home, contents and valuables,
- renters with flexible contents insurance, and
- landlords with a policy to cover investment properties.
