Lenus Raises €50M in Series A Funding

-

Lenus, a Copenhagen, Denmark-based online B2B2C coaching platform targeting health and fitness professionals, secured €50m in Series A funding.

The round was led by EQT Ventures.

The company intends to use the funds for product development, cross-market recruitment (+1,600 within 24 months), and international expansion — including the US (NYC and LA) later in 2021. The funding will cover the development and launch of a non-profit certified online school, aiming at educating private fitness coaches and dieticians to improve their online skills.

Founded in October 2016 by Bertram Thorslund, CEO, Lenus enables health and fitness professionals to achieve scale while catering to their clients’ personal needs by reducing time spent on non-value-adding activities and administrative tasks. With a proven product and replicable go-to-market strategy the Copenhagen-based startup now operates in Denmark, Sweden, Germany, and the United Kingdom.

Today, Lenus has 220 full-time employees. Co-founders include Sebastian Colsted, Theodor Lindekaer, Christian Høeg, and Kristoffer Dorph.
