Rarible, a Moscow, Russia-based NFT marketplace startup, closed a $14.2m Series A funding round.
Backers included Venrock Capital, CoinFund and 01 Advisors.
The company intends to use the funds to continue to expand operations and its audience reach, launch Rarible NFT protocol, L2 solution for scalability and sustainability, credit card payments, adoption of Flow blockchain, multiple partnerships and drops, and more.
Founded by Alex Salnikov and Alexei Falin, Rarible provides an NFT platform that allows thousands of digital creators to find new monetization channels and direct ways to interact with communities. In June 2021, the company reached $150m in total sales. Rarible has also entered an official partnership with Dapper Labs’ Flow, a blockchain that enables easier access and lowers the entry barrier for traditional consumers and brands.
