The Citizenry, a Dallas TX-based direct to consumer home decor brand that partners with artisans, raised $20M in Series B funding.
The round was led by NextWorld Evergreen.
The company will use the capital to accelerate its evolution into a whole-home, omnichannel brand, accelerate expansion of its furniture collection, and invest in additional sales channels, including physical retail.
Led by Rachel Bentley and Carly Nance, The Citizenry is a direct to consumer home decor brand that partners with artisans and manufacturers to create exclusive collections of home goods. Since closing its Series A in December 2019, the company has grown sales over 200% with repeat customers driving 45% of sales. Over the same period, it has supported over 3,000 artisan jobs, 58% of which were held by women.
The Citizenry has a flagship store in Soho, which opened in late 2020.
