Tiny Organics, a NYC-based early childhood nutrition company, closed an $11m Series A funding round.
The round was led by Springdale Ventures with participation from InvestEco, Silas Capital, Human Ventures, VegInvest, Babylist, Gaingels, XFactor Ventures, Natureza and Howard Morgan, which joined previous investors Elizabeth Street Ventures, Rocana Ventures, Chingona Ventures, Bonin Ventures, Gary Vaynerchuk and Liz Lange.
The company intends to use the funds to continue to expand operations, build the brand and customer awareness in the market, and develop new product categories and sales channels.
Founded by Betsy Fore and Sofia Laurell and launched nationwide just over a year ago, Tiny Organics provides 100% organic meals, with no added sugar or salt, and never more than 5 grams of natural sugars per serving. The recipes are created in collaboration with Tufts School of Nutrition to suit baby and toddler developmental milestones.
The company is signing mission-aligned partnerships including Former First Lady Michelle Obama’s Partnership for A Healthier America (PHA), the premier national nonprofit working to transform the food landscape in pursuit of health equity, and the Plastic Pollution Coalition.
