Apaczka Acquires Sendit

Apaczka, a Warsaw, Poland-based provider of logistics solutions for e-commerce, acquired Sendit, a parcel delivery platform for individual customers in the country.

The amount of the deal was not disclosed.

The merger of the two businesses will support Apaczka’s transition from a traditional parcel broker model into a technology-driven provider of e-commerce shipping solutions with a Software as a Service (SaaS) offering model. Following the merger, Apaczka will target further consolidation and technological leadership through digital transformation, with new services dedicated to different customer groups (B2C, B2B and C2X).

Backed by the Central European private equity investor Abris Capital Partners, Apaczka is an online logistics platform operating as an end-to-end multi-carrier shipment intermediary dedicated to e-commerce shops, SMEs and SOHO (small office/home office) clients, cooperating with leading players in the Polish courier delivery market such us UPS, DPD, DHL, FedEx and InPost.

Developed in 2012 as part of Allegro group in Poland, Sendit is an online platform offering clients both domestic and international courier services. Customers can order parcels online and have them collected from and delivered to any given location. The company provides services for both individual and e-commerce customers and has already shipped over 17 million parcels.
