BreezoMeter, a Haifa, Israel-based company that delivers street-level air quality, pollen, pollutants and fire data to consumers through connected devices in 100+ countries, closed a $30m Series C funding round.
The round, which brings total funding to date to $45M, was led by Fortissimo Capital and Entrée Capital, with participation from existing investors JumpSpeed Ventures, Launchpad Digital Health, AxessVentures and Eurazeo.
The company intends to use the funds to expand operations and accelerate the development of its products.
Led by Ran Korber, CEO, and Emil Fisher, CTO, BreezoMeter uses AI and machine learning to gather and understand data from multiple sources — including more than 47,000 sensors worldwide – about street-level air quality, pollen, pollutants and fire data to provide actionable insights and deliver them to consumers through mobile apps, smart home IoT devices, cars and other connected experiences. It detects 12 species of pollen and 34 different pollutants, allowing it to forecast air pollution up to 96 hours and allergens three days ahead of time. This environmental intelligence is delivered through three primary APIs and in use by hundreds of companies in the healthcare, smart home, air purification, automotive, lifestyle and cosmetics industries including brands like Apple, L’Oreal and AstraZeneca to increase user engagement and sales, and positively impact lives.
In December 2020, the company’s environmental data additionally became available to iPhone users through the Apple weather app.
