Glossier Inc., a NYC-based digital-first beauty company, raised $80m in Series E funding.

The round was led by Lone Pine Capital with participation from existing investors Forerunner Ventures, Index Ventures, IVP, Sequoia Capital, and Thrive Capital.

The company intends to use the funds to continue to scale its online and offline channels globally.

Founded in 2014 by Emily Weiss, CEO, Glossier is a direct to consumer personal beauty business offering 39 products—modern essentials spanning skincare, makeup, body and fragrance—priced between $12 and $60. The company has more than 5 million customers globally. Last month, the company announced that it would reopen its owned retail channel, starting with three all-new, permanent stores in Seattle, Los Angeles and London later this year.
