Kalam Labs, a Wilmington, Del.-based live game streaming platform at the intersection of K-12 learning and multiplayer gaming, raised a pre-seed funding round.
Backers included Lightspeed and Y Combinator.
The company intends to use the funds to accelerate its product roadmap to build a “Metaverse for Science”, starting with immersive virtual missions for 6-14 year old kids to learn their favourite STEM topics.
Launched in June 2021 by Ahmad Faraaz, Sashakt Tripathi and Harshit Awasti, Kalam Labs provides a Live Game Streaming platform for education to help 6 to 14 year old kids learn their favourite science topics. The company has already amassed thousands of paying students and is growing its user base by 50% week-over-week completely organically and via referrals within student communities.
