Monolith AI, a UK AI engineering software company, raised £8.5M in Series A funding.
The round was led by Insight Partners with participation from existing investors Pentech and Touchstone, Alejandro Agag, the founder of Formula E and Extreme E, Apex Black and the Stanford Angels of the UK. In conjunction with the funding, Josh Fredberg, Managing Director at Insight Partners will join Monolith AI’s board.
The company intends to use the funds for growth of its international client base and continue to develop their 3D machine learning technology that accelerates product development workflows through virtually predicting product performance.
Founded in 2016 by Dr. Richard Alhfeld, Monolith AI is an AIE (Artificial Intelligence Engineering) software company whose platform uses the latest in machine learning to help design and engineering teams improve the product development process. Monolith AI enables companies to monetize their CAD, simulation, and test data, using it to predict the behaviour of designs without performing new simulations or physical tests.
Clients include BMW, Honda, Siemens and BAE Systems, among others.
