Callin, a San Francisco, CA-based social podcasting platform, raised $12M in Series A funding.
The round was led co-led by Sequoia Capital, Goldcrest Capital, and Craft Ventures.
Co-founded by David Sacks and Axel Ericsson, Callin provides a social podcasting platform where users can create, discover, and consume live and recorded audio content in one place. It combines live conversations and social discoverability with a library of quality, episodic content that users can listen to anytime.
Anyone can become a creator in four steps:
1. Create Show;
2. Start Room;
3. Edit & Publish Episode;
4. Discover & Share.
The company, which was also incubated at Craft, where Sacks is a founder and general partner, intends to use the funds to continue to expand operations and its business reach.
