MetroSpeedy, a NYC-based last mile delivery startup, raised $5M in seed funding.
The round was led by AddVenture Fund with participation from TMT Investments, TA Ventures, Joint Journey, Fores Investments and Vershina Capital.
The company intends to use the funds for technological advancement, additional fulfillment hubs, expansion into new markets, and talent acquisition.
Led by CEO Nancy Korayim, MetroSpeedy focuses on helping businesses across all industries to provide same-day and next day delivery. The company leverages eco-friendly electric vehicles to provide zero emission delivery wherever possible. At the core of their operations is their technology which enables deliveries and powers their analytics aggregator. This proprietary technology consolidates deliveries across businesses to the same customer so someone who has a prescription, dry cleaning and groceries arriving can receive them at the same time. The company rcurrently enables over 1,000 deliveries per day.
