Kentik, a San Francisco, CA-based network observability company, closed a $40m Series C funding.
The round was led by existing investor Third Point Ventures with participation from August Capital, Tahoma Ventures, DCVC, Engineering Capital, Vistara Growth, Golub Capital, Gaingels and Delta-v Capital.
The company, which has raised $102m in total funding to date, intends to use the funds to continue to expand operations (with open positions in engineering, marketing, operations, product management and sales), its business reach and accelerate investments in the platform.
Led by Avi Freedman, Co-founder and CEO, Kentik provides a network observability platform for the network front line, whether digital business, corporate IT or service provider to plan, run and fix any network, relying on granularity, AI-driven insights and fast search. The system helps users make sense of network, cloud, host and container flow, internet routing, performance tests and network metrics.
