RoboTire, a Detroit, MI-based automotive robotics and automation startup, closed a $7.5M Series A funding round.
The round was led by The Reinalt-Thomas Corporation, which does business as Discount Tire and America’s Tire and is an independent tire retailer. Automotive Ventures, Detroit Venture Partners, 640 Oxford Ventures and several angel investors participated in the round.
Led by CEO and Founder Victor Darolfi, Chief Operating Officer Will Mapes, and Chief Experience Officer Tom Williams, RoboTire leverages a patented system that uses robots to change tires in a fraction of the time human operators can—reducing multiple-hour experiences to under 15 minutes.
The company was founded in 2018 and has multiple patents and patents pending for its automotive systems.
