Teachmint, an Indian education infrastructure startup, raised $78m in Series B funding.
The round was led by Rocketship.vc and Vulcan Capital, with participation from new investors Goodwater Capital, Epiq Capital, and existing investors Learn Capital, CM Ventures, Lightspeed India, and Better Capital.
The company intends to use the funds to expand globally, hire new people, especially across product, technology and design, and extend product capabilities.
Led by Mihir Gupta, Co-founder & CEO, Teachmint is an education infrastructure provider and a teaching platform catering to end-to-end infrastructure needs of educators, from K-12 schools to after-school tutoring to universities and even edtechs. Since inception, the company has attracted more than 10 million teachers and students from 5,000+ cities and towns in India.
In July 2021, Teachmint raised $20m in a Pre-Series B round led by Learn Capital with participation from CM Ventures. Just two months prior, in May 2021, the company raised $16.5m in Series A funding led by Learn Capital with participation from CM Ventures, Lightspeed and Better Capital.
