Apollo.io, a San Francisco, CA-based go-to-market acceleration platform for B2B companies, raised $32M in Series B funding.

The round was led by Tribe Capital, with participation from NewView Capital and existing investor Nexus Venture Partners. In conjunction with the funding, Sri Pangulur, partner at Tribe Capital, joined Apollo.io’s board.

The company intends to use the funds to:

  • expand its product and engineering teams to refine its technology;
  • invest in sales, marketing and operational resources, including new leadership hires.

Led by CEO Tim Zheng, Apollo is a data intelligence and sales engagement platform that uses advanced algorithms and unique data acquisition methods to help sales professionals access accurate and affordable prospecting and sales data with maximum coverage. The platform integrates directly with CRM platforms so B2B sales professionals can find the right buyers at the right companies at the right time. It is used by 168,000 companies and more than one million users globally.

The funding follows a 12 month period in which the company grew its user base by more than 200 % and maintained profitability for more than 18 months.
