HiMama, a Toronto, Canada, and Boston MA-based provider of childcare center software solutions, raised C$70M in growth funding.
The round was led by Bain Capital Double Impact with participation from Round13 Capital.
The company intends to use the funds to expand operations and accelerate growth.
Led by CEO Ron Spreeuwenberg and CTO Alana Frome, HiMama is a Certified B Corporation that provides childcare centers with tools to manage staff and class scheduling, tuition billing and payments, and classroom learning activities while engaging parents to improve the educational outcomes for young children.
The company’s products are used in over 10,000 childcare centers across Canada and the U.S., and their software has enabled essential communication with more than one million parents of children enrolled in care.
The funding follows HiMama’s June 2021 acquisition of FunShine Express to offer comprehensive curriculum and activity planning.
