Carto Raises $61M in Series C Funding

Carto, a NYC-based cloud native spatial analysis platform, closed a $61m Series C funding.

The round was led by Insight Partners, with participation from the European Investment Fund, as well as existing investors Accel, Salesforce Ventures, Hearst Ventures, Earlybird and Kibo.

The company intends to use the funds to further accelerate cloud integrations, and continue its growth in verticals such as consumer packaged goods (CPG), retail, logistics, telecoms and beyond.

Led by Luis Sanz, CEO, Carto is a cloud native location intelligence platform, enabling organizations to use spatial data and analysis for more efficient delivery routes, behavioral marketing, strategic store placements, and more. Spatial analytics enables organizations to understand where and why things happen. With support for Google BigQuery, Snowflake, Amazon Redshift, Databricks and PostgreSQL systems, the platform is used by market leaders such as JLL, Mastercard and T-Mobile and CARTO.

The company has more than 150 employees spread across the US and Europe.
