FileCloud Closes $30M Series A Funding

FileCloud, an Austin TX-based hyper-secure content collaboration platform, raised $30M in Series A funding.

The round was led by Savant Growth Fund I LP with participation from Kennet Partners along with a $10m growth capital facility with Avidbank. In conjunction with the funding, Eric Filipek, managing partner and co-founder of Savant Growth, will join FileCloud’s board of directors.

The company intends to use the funds to accelerate innovation and market expansion, both domestically and throughout international markets.

Led by Ray Downes, CEO, Madhan Kanagavel, founder, president and CTO, and Peter Melerud, Chief Revenue Officer, FileCloud provides a hyper-secure content collaboration platform (CCP) with compliance, data governance, data leak protection, data retention and digital rights management capabilities. Workflow automation and granular control of content sharing across most enterprise platforms are integrated into the CCP stack. The platform offers file sharing, sync, and mobile access capabilities on public, private, and hybrid clouds.

FileCloud is used by millions of users around the world, including top Global 1000 enterprises, educational institutions, government organizations, and managed service providers.
