Union, an Austin, Texas-based hospitality engagement platform, raised $22M in Series B funding.
The round was led by Clerisy, with participation from new investors Roth Capital and Aquila Capital Partners and previous investors NEA, Wellington, Fiserv, and former CEO of WorldPay Tony Catalfano.
The company intends to use the funds to expand into all major US metro areas in 2022.
Led by Alex Broeker, founder and CEO, Union provides a cloud based technology platform that enables bars and restaurants to materially increase revenues, mitigate staffing shortages, serve more customers, and create a more personalized consumer experience.
The platform combines a POS system, a mobile ordering/payment solution, and customer data to deliver a customized experience that allows venues to treat every patron like a VIP. Customers can order, reorder, tip, and pay via their mobile phones while receiving highly personalized product recommendations. Over 600,000 consumers have used the engagement platform in the last year.
The company processes over $1 billion in consumer transactions annually, and operates in 34 states across the country.
