Yumi, a Los Angeles, CA-based health and food sciences brand, closed its latest financing rounds, which bring the total amount raised to $67m.

Led by Angela Sutherland, co-founder and CEO, Yumi is a health and food sciences company focused on intelligently-designed, science-backed meals, snacks and vitamins for every stage of development. To ensure peak nutrition and flavor in every bite, Yumi employs a team of experts that includes nutritionists, pediatricians, metabolic health experts and James Beard Award-winning chefs. With over 100 organic ingredients across its menu, Yumi’s line-up includes blends, finger foods, snacks and a Multivitamin (Biteamin™) delivered right to home. All products are organic, vegan, gluten-free, non-GMO, and kosher, and the brand is certified by the Clean Label Project.
Yumi’s latest funding announcement comes on the heels of a year of continued growth for the brand, which, in June, became the first DTC kids food company in the U.S. to cross into the multivitamin category with the launch of their Multivitamin Biteamins. Offering a selection of organic, intelligently-designed, science-backed meals, snacks and vitamins for every stage of development, Yumi is now feeding three percent of babies nationwide and the company’s founders remain outspoken advocates for regulatory reform.
